STP&I Public Company Limited (STP&I) and JGC Corporation, Kellogg Brown & Root (KBR) and Chiyoda Corporation (JKC Ichthys LNG Joint Venture) has signed contract for module fabrication of Package 1, 3 and 8, Ichthys Onshore LNG Facilities with total weight 82,000 ton approximately.
The contract signing ceremony was held at the Head Office of JGC Corporation in Yokohama, Japan on February 1, 2012.
The project will be executed at STP&I Laem Chabang Module Yard during the Year 2013 – 2015 and the modules will be shipped out to Blaydin Point in Darwin, Western Australia for site erection.
The Ichthys LNG Facility is expect to produce 8.4 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) per annum and approximately 1.6 million tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) per annum, as well as 100,000 barrels of condensate per day at peak.
